100 Million Trees Project

Earlier today, junior and senior Infants and third and fourth class went to visit an area of land near the community field which has been planted up as part of the 100 Million Trees Project. The aim of the project is to increase the amount of native Irish trees in Ireland by planting trees on spare land across the country. The children saw a variety of bare-root native Irish trees planted and got a chance to label a tree with their name. We hope to check in on the progress of the trees in the coming year and beyond.
