Music is a very important part of a child’s overall development in the primary years. Children from first – sixth are taught music in the classroom by their teacher Ms Dempsey. The children are given appropriate vocal training in the school choir every week. Our choir consists of 60 children from first to sixth class. The children partake in an annual Christmas pageant/Concert in the church, which is a wonderful opportunity for parents to see their children perform on stage. The children finish their pageant by singing a selection of Christmas carols which they always thoroughly enjoy.
Music is a vital part of the children’s lives here in Ballyneale NS. Every child is valued and encouraged to achieve their best.
